A colleague of mine was supposed to start working for the labour safety bureau. A while back I bumped into him and asked: “Why haven’t you started working yet?” He said “I haven’t been notified yet, but I still get my paycheck though; I started off at 800 (a month, translator’s note), and now it has increased to 1000. “I’d better start work for the government!” I said. He smiled and said: “Right now I am just working for myself, accompanying my girlfriend around”. I made a wry smile and said: “Well, I work day and night just to get my 1200!”
